Many major Hollywood celebrities are big fans of getting a little nip and tuck and aren’t ashamed to admit it! But do you know which celebrities are totally against going under the knife?
In a 2011 interview with U.K. media, Kate Winslet spoke openly against her thoughts on plastic surgery. She has been an anti-cosmetic surgery activist and insists, "I will never give in. It goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty." She has even gone so far as creating the British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League, a vow between Kate and her friend Emma Thompson to never get surgery.
The Saving Mr. Banks leading lady is vehemently against plastic surgery and Botox. Emma Thompson explains, "It's not a normal thing to do, and the culture that we've created that says it's normal, is not normal."
Meryl Streep believes that growing older is a gift and has been very vocal about being against plastic surgery. In 2010 Meryl stated, "To each his own. I really understand the chagrin that accompanies ageing, especially for a woman, but I think people look funny when they freeze their faces."
Jodie Foster has also expressed that she has no interest in going under the knife. In 2007 she told People magazine, "'It's not my thing. I don't have anything against it for other people. Whatever they want to do, I'm fine with it. For me, it's really a self-image thing. Like, I'd rather have somebody go, 'Wow, that girl has a bad nose' than 'Wow, that girl has a bad nose job.'"
Based on these women who have decided to age gracefully, we're going to go ahead and say that plastic surgery isn't always the answer!
