The King of All Media is now the arbiter of all talent.
NBC has released a sneak peek of Howard Stern's new stint moonlighting as a judge on NBC's hit summer series, America's Got Talent, and judging by the excitement the shock jock's presence alongside fellow panelists Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne is generating, the new season ought to draw even more eyeballs than years past.

Judd Apatow has had enough of Howard Stern's cross-promotion.
Stern has been filling his airwaves with talk about his America's Got Talent judging gig on his Sirius XM radio show, and the Girls producer is so tired of hearing about it that he slammed his fellow funnyman on Twitter.
"I hate to say it but I don't have much interest in discussions about america's got talent," Apatow wrote last week. "I tried. It is just too much synergy. @sternshow"

So says the Parents Television Council about NBC's inevitably controversial hiring of Howard Stern as a judge on America's Got Talent, which, so far, is doing exactly what it was meant to do—create major buzz.
"#howard stern is officially a new judge on AGT!!! Confirmed! So stoked—welcome to the NBC family!" The Voice host Carson Daly tweeted today, one of thousands of positively charged posts about the network's big move.
But the PTC, which opposed the very idea of Stern becoming a prime-time regular, had no qualms about sticking it to NBC ASAP.

Talk of Howard Stern coming to prime time, apparently.
The conservative media watchdog Parents Television Council is already up in arms over the very idea of the outspoken radio host joining America's Got Talent as a judge, calling it a move that "smacks of desperation" on NBC's part and would result in the "alienation of millions of viewers."
Well, get in line, PTC, because Stern never lacks for haters—as he so wryly pointed out on his own show today.
