Beyoncé and Jay-Z Finally Make Baby News Official: "We Are in Heaven"

Who wants to be the one to tell Beyoncé and Jay-Z that they're a little late to the party?
OK, they get a pass. They have had other things on their minds, like ushering a new life into this world, so we'll forgive them for not issuing their daughter's official birth announcement until today.
As tends to be the case with all of mom and dad's new releases, this one was worth the wait, too..

"Hello Hello Baby Blue!" began the statement released by the proud new parents' reps.
"We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives.
"We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support. Beyoncé & Jay-Z."
Earlier today, Jay-Z posted a musical birth announcement on his Life + Times website, a rap tribute to Blue featuring the lyrics, "You're my child with the child from Destiny's Child."
The outpouring of congratulations from Jay-Z and Beyoncé's famous pals also served to drive the news home.
