It's been a busy week for Brad Pitt both professionally and personally.

The actor attended his first public red carpet event since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce back in September this evening in honor of his upcoming flick, Allied.

Pitt was on hand for a fan Q&A and stopped to say a few words about filming the highly anticipated film as well as how he's been doing since the split news.

After spending a good chunk of time signing fans' autographs, Angelina's ex shared how happy he was to spend time with those who were excited to meet the A-list actor.

"It's really sweet, everyone has been really kind out here," he explained before adding, "It's really nice to have all the support."

Earlier this evening, E! News confirmed that Brad was officially cleared of child abuse allegations by the Los Angeles Country Department of Children and Family Services. The investigation was prompted due to an incident involving the actor and his eldest son Maddox on a private airplane back on September 14.

The DCFS found that Angelina's ex did not commit any child abuse during the incident. A spokesperson for Angelina released the following statement:

"The job of the DCFS is to make sure the children are in a safe and secure situation. As we said earlier this week, childcare professionals encouraged a legal agreement accepted and signed by both sides that was in the best interest of the children. Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal."

A source insists, however, that "there were no childcare professionals involved with last week's temporary voluntary agreement."

Yesterday, Brad was also seen with fans but in a more intimate setting—at a private screening for Moonlight, a film that his production company is linked to.

It looks like there's no downtime in sight for the actor as award season gears up and his divorce proceedings enter their presumably final stages.
