You better believe the Beyhive won't just let this slide.
The Internet was sent into a fury after Grease: Live directors Thomas Kail and Alex Rudzinski won the award for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special at the 2016 Emmys over Beyoncé and Kahlil Joseph for her visual album, Lemonade. Host Jimmy Kimmel even hilariously predicted the Beyhive's rumored leader, Kanye West, would have a serious problem. "I wouldn't want to be those guys when Kanye finds out they beat Beyoncé," the comedian joked.
It's definitely not unexpected that fans would be upset about this defeat. It is freaking Beyoncé we're talking about here, and Lemonade was musical masterpiece! But Queen Bey supporters were so distraught they quickly took to social media to vent their frustrations about the surprising loss, and it's safe to say it was a mixed bag of emotions ranging from anger and rage to sadness and disbelief. One thing's for sure, Mrs. Carter is still feeling the love tonight.
