Ariana Grande isn't one to back down when it comes to the things she's passionate about, especially when it revolves around women empowerment.
She's shut down trolls on social media for judging her by her appearance and often stopped people in their tracks for making sexist comments. She encourages women to embrace their sexuality in its entirety, and she demands to be respected for her career and her talent, rather than depicted as someone's girlfriend or current love interest.
Thus, it should come as no surprise that in a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest this week, the singer didn't give into assumptions regarding her love life.
In fact, she's rarely ever given into Ryan's questions about her personal life. Over the last three years, she's shut him down five times when he attempted to get info from her.

On Her Relationship With Mac Miller: During an interview on Wednesday morning, Ryan said he saw Ariana "confirm" her relationship with Mac Miller due to an Instagram post she shared recently.
The singer immediately put a halt to the conversation, saying, "If I post something, that's what I'm willing to share at the moment. That doesn't mean then you, Ryan Seacrest, with millions of listeners, are entitled to more information."
On Being in Love: Ariana sat down with Ryan for an interview in October 2015 and turned the tables on him when he tried to find out about her relationship status.
"Are you in love?" he asked the singer, who quickly responded, "Are you in love?"
Ryan joked that he used to be, and Ariana quipped, "Aw! That actually breaks my heart."
On Dating Big Sean: Back in August of 2014, everyone was still wondering whether Ariana and rapper Big Sean were a thing (we later found out they were). The singer was visibly annoyed by all the speculation, and made sure Ryan knew she wasn't about to continue making headlines for it.
"I mean, I guess, curiosity man, it'll kill you," Grande said when he asked about the rumors. "I don't know what to say, Ryan. Why are you doing this me?"
She continued, "I'll tell you when we're not on the air. I trust you. I've known you a long time. I don't know about these millions of people listening in right now."
On Nathan Sykes Photos: When the "Dangerous Woman" singer joined Ryan on-air in September 2013, he showed her pictures she had "sent out" of her with The Wanted singer.
She quickly stopped him and clarified, "I sent out? No those are from a music video! I didn't send those out. I didn't post those at all. This is in a music video and that's from a performance," she said, pointing to the various photos. "And Scooter [Braun] took that creeper shot right there."
On Justin Bieber Rumors: In the same September 2013 interview, Ryan also presented a photo of Justin Bieber kissing her on the cheek during a fan meet-and-greet, suggesting it was "beyond friendly."
Ariana quipped, "I was on tour with him! It was a kiss on the cheek. I didn't do it!"
Overall, she called all the romance rumors totally "ridiculous" and "humorous."
