The Good Wife is coming to an end and nobody planned to leave empty-handed. Julianna Margulies, Cush Jumbo, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and the rest of the cast had their eyes on various prizes before leaving set, they revealed to E! News when we were on set for the show's penultimate episode (airing this Sunday, May 1 at 9 p.m. on CBS). What did they walk away with? Everything for a desk chair to pieces of a wall. Yes, a wall. Oh, and the star herself.
"I'm going to take Julianna. I'm taking her. My wife will be thrilled," Morgan joked with us. "The other day we had a scene where they were sort of destroying the law offices and Cush was grabbing pieces of the broken wall. I would take some of Jason's wardrobe. That's about it. I've got the memories. They're locked up."
Yes, Jumbo was taking pieces of the old Lockhart Agos and Lee (now Lockhart, Florrick and Associates, its umpteenth name change) offices home with her. After all, she came into this show as a longtime fan.
"They were sledgehammering some walls in the law firm...I did get quite upset and cry in the middle of the scene because I'm a fan of the show," Jumbo said. "A lot of stuff has happened with those walls and in that room, so I was very torn between professionalism and complete fangirldom."
Margulies, who was quick to point out how much time she's spent in Alicia's shoes, said she would be taking Alicia's home office chair away with her.
"It's beautiful and comfortable…I don't want to look at her every day, but the chair is something—Sitting in it, there's an ease. And it came on the set and Alicia's life in a time when she had finally sort of found herself for lack of a better word," she dished.
