Oprah Winfrey may have one of the most successful career tracks in history, but even she admits she found herself continuously searching for something else...to be thin.

The television host and media proprietor opened up during the Super Soul Sessions on Saturday—which saw the likes of Kerry Washington, Amandla Stenberg, Eckhart Tolle and more—and discussed her constant struggle to exercise and eat right.

"I wanted to be thin," she explained. "I wasted so much energy, energy and time wanting my thighs to be thin, for my arms not to flap. I had the success and the money, but I was still wanting something different than I had."

Oprah admitted that the stress of the Oprah Winfrey Show, which she hosted for 20 years, caused her to seek comfort in her "go-to foods" like Spicy Cheetos and Cool Ranch Doritos. She also continuously looked for an excuse not to exercise.

For example, she was hiking once during a trip to her ranch in Maui, and she sprained her ankle. She said, "Jesus did not want me to workout, so I put my leg up and ate and drank all the vacation."

However, she finally had an eye-opening experience when Weight Watchers called her and asked her to become the official spokesperson of the company.

"It felt like an intervention from on high," she said, noting that she realized, "if they are calling me, I must need help!"

Despite it taking six decades to get to this point, Oprah says she's learning to love her body and take care of it through the tips and tricks she's learned with Weight Watchers.
