This is it, people. It's the very last American Idol performance show, which means two of the three remaining contestants will sing their hearts out on the Dolby Theater stage in the hopes of winning the final American Idol crown.

There are three singers left—La'Porsha Renae, Trent Harmon and Dalton Rapattoni—and at the top of tonight's finale episode, Ryan Seacrest will eliminate one of them. If you haven't been keeping up with this abridged Farewell Season but plan to tune in tonight and tomorrow for the grand finale, here's everything you need to know about the singers so you can pick who you're rooting for.

The final three with a chance to follow in Kelly Clarkson's footsteps are…

Fox

La'Porsha Renae, 22

Hometown: McComb, Miss.

Sweet spot: She excels at soulful R&B and basically any soaring ballad or breakup song.

Best performances: This is a woman who knows her way around a song with a powerful message, as exemplified on her rendition of Common and John Legend's "Glory."

But she can get down with a great pop song too, like Rihanna's "Diamonds."

What she's overcome: She's a single mom who escaped an abusive relationship. In her hometown visit last week, she returned to the women's shelter where she sought refuge. Many, many tears were shed.

Fox

Trent Harmon, 25

Hometown: Amory, Miss.

Sweet spot: In recent weeks, he's really come into his own and begun to perfect a country soul vibe. He's not straight country (as we saw in his R&B audition) but he certainly has those roots.

Best performances: The judges picked Parson James' "Waiting Game" for Trent to sing last week, which turned out to be an inspired choice.

He also straight-up crushed Sia's "Chandelier."

What he's overcome: This down home farm boy works at his family's restaurant, and has really worked to break out of the expected country mold.

Fox

Dalton Rapattoni, 19

Hometown: Dallas, Texas

Sweet spot: Do you see the eyeliner? Yeah, this dude is pop punk, which he does best when taking an unexpected song and twisting it into his own creation.

Best performances: Believe it or not, his rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing In the Dark" was kind of awesome.

He's lost a little steam in the live rounds, but his super-slowed-down version of Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell" in the top 24 round showed lots of potential (that he can still totally tap into).

What he's overcome: A few weeks ago, the Texas teen revealed his struggle with Bipolar Disorder and he's spoken about it a few times since.

The top two will compete tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox, and the winner will be crowned (with pretty much all of your American Idol favorites in attendance) in tomorrow's two-hour series finale, also at 8.
