Bye bye, Juliette Barnes! Avery Barclay is moving on from his soon-to-be-ex-wife on Wednesday's Nashville. Don't believe us? Check out this exclusive sneak peek from the episode, in which Avery (Jonathan Jackson) meets a new friend—a fellow single parent—at the playground.
In E! News' clip, Avery is playing at the park with baby Cadence when he meets single mom Sienna (Meg Steedle). The pair hits it off (there's nothing like bonding over a lack of sleep and their respective exes' lack of involvement in raising their children), and they soon have dinner plans.
Of course, considering they're both parents struggling to care for their children solo, it's kind of an unconventional first date. Or second, if you count their playground banter as a first. Which, TBH, they're both busy working parents so it's probably the right move. Press play on the video above to watch Avery's potential new match in action!
While this episode, "If I Could Do It All Again," will focus on Luke and Riff planning their upcoming tour, the following week will see the triumphant return of Hayden Panettiere as a fresh-from-rehab Juliette Barnes, back on the Nashville scene after several months in treatment for her postpartum depression.
When she comes back, she'll be at a "critical crossroads," promises ABC. (Not only will she have to contend with Avery over their child and the dissolution of their marriage, she'll also have to face the reality of repairing all her professional relationships, too.)
