False alarm!

When reports flew that Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry's decades-long friendship was in flames after they allegedly stopped speaking to each other, her resident BFF Gayle King was there to clean up the controversy. As the co-host of CBS This Morning and editor-at-large of O, The Oprah Magazine, we wouldn't expect anything less of the acclaimed journalist.

"Just reading @Oprah & @tylerperry are angry w/each other & not speaking," she captioned a photo of the article on Instagram. "If that's true (it"ain't")must have just happened 10 min ago!" We can smell the sass from here, Gayle!

To further put an end to the tall tales, Perry retweeted Gayle's matching tweet on the subject, a digital seal of approval for her commentary.

While the details of their friendship are far more private, their business relationship seems like it just keeps getting better.

Perry is in contract to release all of his television projects on Winfrey's OWN Network, a partnership that has only flourished since the initial agreement in 2012. Just a day ago, the Precious producer celebrated a major television milestone—800 episodes in the bag.

"I got surprised this morning by my folks. I had no idea I had done this many TV episodes," he wrote on social media. "To the millions of you who love what I do THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! LORD JESUS!! 800 episodes... only God!!"

In fact, the woman in question was there to acknowledge the moment with her longtime friend.

"This picture was taken last week as Oprah came down to celebrate with me and the cast and crew!!!" he described a group photo with Oprah perched on Perry's shoulders.

It couldn't be clearer—the only thing these pals are guilty of is fiercely supporting one another.
