Watch: Rita Wilson Is Taking Tom Hanks on Tour

Rita Wilson is going to have one pretty awesome tour buddy with her when she hits the road.

Back in November, the star revealed that she'll be stopping in more than 20 cities across the U.S., including Los Angeles, Austin, Boston, Chicago and Nashville, for her self-titled second LP, and it looks like hubby Tom Hanks is going to be right there with her throughout the entire journey.

But he won't be just enjoying a free show every night. Wilson's not having that.

"I'm gonna make him go to work, though. I'm gonna put him to work," she told E! News on the blue carpet premiere for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 in New York last night. Hanks, with his usual charm and hilarity, added, "I'm loading crates full of lip gloss."

The two lovebirds continued to joke about what the A-lister's tasks will be while on the road, with Rita saying, "He's gonna be selling merch in the lobby. I'm gonna put him out there like, ‘What?! Where are the totes?!'"

There will be one significant holiday during their time touring, and we're hoping Wilson allows your busy worker bee some time off to celebrate, because, well, it's in his honor. International Tom Hanks Day (yes, that's a real thing) is coming up on April 2, and while Wilson thinks "there should be a stamp," Tom Hanks thinks we should get an extended vacay in his honor.

"I think there should be a five-day weekend," the Oscar winner tells us. "I think you should be off from the Wednesday to the following Tuesday."

We think you're right, Tom. But will boss Rita Wilson be down with that?! We'll keep our fingers crossed.
