We had to hold back our tears as Eugenio Derbez gave his speech during his ceremony at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which he helped with the preparations for.

"When I was a kid, my mom used to take me to the movies as a hobby, a hobby that later on became a passion. My favorite movies taught me that you can make people go from one feeling to the next—sadness, fear, excitement, and laughter," Derbez said to the crowd. "I was probably 10 when I said to my mom, ‘this is what I want to do when I grow up. I want to be a story teller,' and I feel blessed that life gave me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams."

His Miracles from Heaven co-star Jennifer Garner sent a beautiful message for the 54-year-old actor and his fans. "Thank you Mexico for sharing your brightest star with us," she said.

The actor dedicated his star to his four children and wife. "This star has five points, without one of these points, it wouldn't be a star. In the same way that I wouldn't be who I am without any of my five points, my five centers of my universe, my five pillars—my wife Alessandra and my four kids," the actor said during his speech.

Derbez celebrated his recognition with his friends and family. He even shared a photo of his cake, which looked almost too pretty to eat.

It's a deserved honor for the actor, who in 2013 wrote, directed and starred in Instructions Not Included, which earned more than $100 million and became the most successful Spanish-language film ever in the U.S. and worldwide.

"My road to Hollywood was difficult was, but it has a happy ending, and no one does happy endings like Hollywood," Derbez said.
