Is John Stamos trying to tell the Olsen twins something?

The 52-year-old actor posted on his Instagram page Thursday a home video from August 1989 showing him hanging out with Full House co-stars Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen when they were 3. One of the twins adorably sticks out her tongue at Stamos.

"'Say my name' #StamosHomeMovies #Fullerhouse #MkAshley. #TBT," he wrote.

The actor had shared another clip of the girls, shot on the same date, days before the Netflix's Full House sequel series, Fuller House, premiered on Feb. 26.

Stamos reprises his role as Uncle Jesse on the new show and serves as an executive producer. The Olsens, who played his niece Michelle, are the only Full House stars who did not to return. Stamos said last May he was "heartbroken" about it. The show was renewed for season two last week.

"I was going to see Ashley last night and beg her to be on the show," Stamos said on the Today show a day later. "We would love to have them. I know everybody would love to see them. I have a good feeling about it."

The Olsen twins, who are now 29, haven't acted in recent years and have opted to instead concentrate on their fashion empire. Their Full House character is referenced more than once on Fuller House, including in a pretty obvious inside joke on the first episode.

A source told E! News after news of the season two renewal that nothing has changed for Mary-Kate and Ashley regarding their decision to appear on the series. Series creator Jeff Franklin told E! News he was hopeful they would change their minds.

"It's like all family reunions—there's always somebody that doesn't show up," he said. "But hopefully next time around, we'll have them back."
