The series, which is based on Jeffrey Toobin's book and recounts the events of O.J. Simpson's 1995 murder trial, wrapped last fall and currently there are no plans to address the knife that was reportedly found buried on Simpson's former Rockingham property. Cuba Gooding Jr. stars as Simpson opposite Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, Sterling K. Brown as Christopher Darden, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Courtney B. Vance as Jonnie Cochran and David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian.
News of the knife first broke on Friday, March 4, prompting speculation about the ending to the series which currently has five episodes left to air. The knife is being tested by the LAPD for potential evidence connected to the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
"We told you you didn't know the half of it… Is there really new evidence?" the show's official Twitter account shared.
Vance tweeted about the news as well. "Guess they're gonna keep the knife in Simi Valley for 3 days, eh? @ACSFX @MrRPMurphy @JeffreyToobin #RyanMurphyWorld," he said.
The cast of The People v. O.J. Simpson also includes Nathan Lane, Selma Blair, Connie Britton, Malcolm Jamal-Warner and Jordana Brewster.
The People v. O.J. Simpson airs Tuesdays, 10 p.m. on FX.
