If you thought Jon Snow at a dinner party was terribly awkward, well, you haven't seen Melisandre (Carice Van Houten) at a baby shower. Until now. The Game of Thrones character stopped by Seth Meyers and Alexi Ashe's baby shower to impart some choice words of wisdom for the parents-to-be.

"Clutch your child close to your breast woman, for the night is dark and full of terrors," Melisandre offers Ashe in the Late Night With Seth Meyers video below.

This is the first baby for Ashe and Meyers and according Melisandre, they should pray it's a boy. "Pray that it's a son, so that the Lord of Light can look down upon him in favor. And if it's a girl, lock it away in a dark tower forever and hope it's not consumed by Greyscale," she says.

"I think we'll be happy either way," Meyers says.

After a talking to about being more relatable and opening up, Melisandre comes back with a story about giving birth to a shadow demon. "I will never forget the way it emerged from my womanhood," she says.

Following another talking to from Meyers, Melisandre starts quizzing the other guests about their personal lives and opens up about somebody she's into at work: Jon Snow (Kit Harington). She's not sure it's going to work out. Why? "I'm pretty sure that he's dead," she says.

"Pretty sure he's dead?" Meyers asks.

"Well, that's the way it was left," Melisandre says.

Game of Thrones returns Sunday, April 24 on HBO. Late Night With Seth Meyers airs weeknights, 12:35 a.m. on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
