Teen Wolf's about to make a lot of its fans very happy.
Reed will be appearing in an episode largely consisting of Argent family flashbacks, and will be playing one of Allison's ancestors named Marie-Jeanne Valet.
Buzzfeed, who originally reported the news, talked to series creator Jeff Davis about how the flashbacks play into this season, which finds Scott and his pack up against an ancient monster called the Beast of Gevaudan.
"She was a peasant girl who had fashioned a bayonet onto a spear and was supposedly one of the first to survive an attack by the beast," Davis explained. "Valet is another female warrior and I think one of the great things Crystal does is she gives our viewers, especially our young female viewers, someone to look up to," Davis said.
Reed originally left the show on her own, asking to be written off so she could pursue other projects, but we're happy to hear that she's finally found a reason to return.
"Basically, Jeff just said, ‘France in the 1700s,' and I was in," Reed told Buzzfeed. If that sounds a bit Outlander to you, just look at Reed's face and try to tell us she doesn't look like at least a relative of Caitriona Balfe. Basically, this is going to be good.
We won't have long to wait for Reed's return to Teen Wolf, because her episode, titled "The Maid of Gevaudan," will air on Feb. 23.
Teen Wolf airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on MTV.
