If you're wondering who Jared Leto wants to impress in his next movie, we've found your answer.

As the actor gears up for his role as The Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, Leto is sharing a meme that proves he wants to make the Hollywood community proud.

In an Instagram post from Monday night, followers see a combination of Heath Ledger's character from 2008's The Dark Knight along with Jack Nicholson's role in 1989's Batman.

As the two pose in character from their respective films, the text "Don't worry, Leto will make us proud" is flashed across the screen.

When it comes to Leto's caption, he simply features a heart emoji.

If sneak previews are any indication, the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman will have no problem impressing fans in his latest role on the big screen.

In the first character photo for the new D.C. villains-themed film, Leto is unrecognizable with green hair, black smudged eyeliner, dark red lipstick, a grill and several tattoos spaced throughout his body. Later on, photos snapped from the set further show off his big-screen transformation.

"He encompasses this beautiful man and he shows it in, 'Hello, how are you?,' but in an instant, he goes to psychotic behavior where you're in fear," co-star Adam Beach recently shared with E! News' Marc Malkin. "But you love him because he has both of those genuine sides."

While Suicide Squad doesn't hit theatres until Aug. 5, 2016, Leto recently shared his experience playing the unforgettable character. In the December issue of Empire magazine, the actor explained his mindset during the project.

"I took a pretty deep dive. But this was a unique opportunity and I couldn't imagine doing it another way," he told the publication. "It was fun, playing those psychological games."
