We're hearing—and seeing—a lot of Gwen Stefani and her blossoming romance with Blake Shelton these days, but her ex Gavin Rossdale has been MIA from the spotlight.

That's intentional, a source tells E! News, who says the Bush rocker "is not wanting to say anything publicly right now" and is "trying to take the high road."

According to a source, the 50-year-old father of three is not in contact with Mindy Mann, the family's former nanny with whom he was accused of cheating. "Gavin hasn't spoken about her, and I don't think they've spoken in a while," notes the source.

Instead, the musician has been "trying to get on with life," a source tells E! News. "[He] has been playing a lot of tennis, has been in out of the studio, trying to focus on what makes him happy."

Gavin "wants to be off the radar right now," reiterates a source—and he's not the only one. A source tells E! News that Mindy, former babysitter to Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, has gone into hiding amid the cheating allegations that surfaced earlier this month.

"The last few weeks have been extremely difficult for Mindy," says a source. "She has been bombarded with media trying to get her to talk about Gavin and the kids and she isn't wanting to talk. She cares about those kids so much and out of respect for the family wants to keep quiet."

As for Gwen, 46? She certainly appears to be doing well and happy with her fellow The Voice coach. A source tells E! News, though, that "the media craze [surrounding her divorce] just annoys her because of the way it can affect kids in situations like this."

"Gwen didn't want the news about the nanny to get out for the sake of her kids," another source says. "She really wanted to protect them and not have them go through knowing this went on with their father and someone that she trusted. Over the last few weeks, she had begun telling more of her friends what had happened. [But] she is ready to move on and start the next chapter of her life."

That said, Gwen and Gavin seem to be doing their best to get along for the sake of their sons. A source tells E! News that while Blake might be part of some of the festivities, Gwen "still wants to have the holidays as normal as possible because of the kids," which possibly includes "a more traditional holiday" with both parents. That said, the source notes it's "clear to [Gwen and Gavin's] children they are not with each other in any romantic capacity."
