Watch: Anna Paquin Excited to Be in "The Good Dinosaur"

Anna Paquin's latest film is especially exciting, because it's something the whole family can enjoy!

The former True Blood star, who has taken on a number of risqué roles over the years, told E! News during the Good Dinosaur premiere last night that she's stoked about this project because it's finally something that her kids can watch someday.

"Honestly, I loved Pixar films from before I had children. So I can't say that it was entirely that," she told us. "Added bonus that I've now done something that my kids can watch at some point, because most things I do are definitely not kid-friendly. Ever. Even when I was a kid. So, that's nice. But no, I'm a huge Pixar fan just as films."

In the animated feature, Paquin lends her voice for the character Ramsey, a tough and feisty cowgirl T-Rex, who's very confident and bold.

Good Dinosaur tells the story of a dinosaur family consisting of young Arlo (Raymond Ochoa), his parents (Jeffrey Wright, Frances McDormand) and his two siblings, who were luckily not wiped out 65 million years ago.

However, a rainstorm sent Arlo downriver, leaving him injured and miles away from home. That's where he meets Spot (Jack Bright), a Neanderthal boy who offers his help and friendship, and together, they embark on an adventurous journey to reunite Arlo with his family.

The film was originally slated for a 2013 release, but faced a number of drawbacks when the director and most of the original cast was replaced. "It's been quite an adventure getting here," director Peter Sohn said at the premiere.

"Everyone put their heart into it and getting to see it with an audience like this blew me away."

Good Dinosaur hits theaters on Nov. 25.
