How To Get Away With Murder stars live in a very special place: Shondaland.

The hit ABC drama about defense attorney Annalise Keating and her team of law students who become entangled with, you guessed it, murder, was created by Peter Nowalk hails from Shonda Rhimes' production company and caps ABC's TGIT night, a night of programming hailing from the mega producer.

"It means that I'm at home, that's what I feel like," Viola Davis told E! News about working n Shondaland. "I feel like I'm at a place that gets me, that encourages me, that understands me and that's really important as an artist."

Living in Shondaland netted Davis an Emmy for her work as Annalise in How To Get Away With Murder, making her the first ever black woman to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award.

"It's a great utopia. The water flows like wine," Matt McGorry told us at the PaleyFest New York event honoring HTGAWM. "The other way around, maybe? It depends what your preference is. Either way, it flows well."
