Rumor have swirled about a potential Backstreet Boys-Spice Girls world tour, but nothing has been set in stone...until now?!

Just kidding.

Nick Carter appears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday and addresses the rumors about the tour that would make all of our dreams come true. Sadly, however, it still seems like the idea remains in the idea stage, but it looks like Nick has come up with a plan to try to push it into an official announcement!

"It was an idea, I am friends with Mel B, and it's an idea that we have been pondering for quite some time and we thought it was a really cool thing to do," he explains to Ellen DeGeneres. "And all the boys, every single one of us are on board and we would love to do it. It's really kind of up to the girls, and what they want to do. But funny enough, I thought maybe you could help us out with that."

Like the gem that she is, Ellen agrees to be of service! She tells the boy band member that she will help them out.

"You could try to orchestrate this entire thing, and make it happen I mean Ellen is super powerful," Nick notes.

"Ladies, come on, what are you waiting for?" the daytime talk show host asks. "What an awesome tour that would be to have the Backstreet Boys and the Spice Girls!"

Carter opened up to E! News last week about the possible tour and explained that this potential final tour would be the guys' way of ending their run with a bang. "There were talks in the past about it and we had done the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys tour in the past," he told Sibley Scoles.

"I think this would be that last hurrah—the two big groups from the late '90s. Maybe do a world tour, stadiums, stuff like that and do a package together."

He concluded, "It's just an idea." So it wasn't a complete yes, but also wasn't a no! And clearly, Nick is totally up for it.

Of course, this double-dose reunion would presumably be missing one key figure: Victoria Beckham. She told Paris Vogue in 2013 that her time with the girl power group was over forever. "I realized it was finished for good in 2008, when we reformed for our reunion tour," she confessed. "The day of the concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.

"The other girls spent time relaxing in bed, shopping and in the gym before heading off to the sound check," she continued. "I arrived with three kids in tow in a really tight dress because I'd been in meetings all day...I just wanted to be elsewhere."

While we'd love Posh Spice to reunite with everyone, we'll just take a confirmation for now!
