Food fight!

(Look, we know that pun was super obvious but we're kind of tired and we probably haven't had as much caffeine as we should have so please just let it slide. We promise next time we'll try to be a bit more clever.)

So McDonald's unleashed its all-day breakfast menu on Tuesday, much to the delight of people who hate getting up before 10 a.m. but still love Egg McMuffins. Sure, they don't have hash browns in some parts of the country and depending on your area, you had to choose between a McMuffin and a biscuit sandwich. But still! McDonald's finally answered all the prayers and officially launched it's 24-hour breakfast menu.

Obviously, people were talking about it on Twitter. McDonald's even sponsored a hashtag: #AllDayBreakfast. What they maybe didn't count on was other food establishments jumping onto that trending topic to remind people that they are also in the breakfast game.

Dunkin' Donuts, Denny's, Waffle House and more restaurants weren't shy about throwing some disses and low-key shade toward McDonald's with some tweets, and suddenly we had a breakfast war on our hands:

But no one, no one, threw more shade and sass than HOP. Oh, man. They dug their claws in deep on Twitter and didn't let go for basically the entire day. And people were here for this iHop-McDonald's beegf. On a scale of 1 - 10, we'd rate their shade level at a "Nicki Minaj at the VMAs."

IHOP? More like International House of SHAAAAADE.

Speaking of feuds, let's relive that epic Miley-Nicki moment at the 2015 VMAs:
