After making his New York Fashion Week debut last season, Kanye West is back with his second Yeezy by Kanye West x Adidas collection. And when you're Kanye, of course you're going to pull in an A-list squad to watch the show. The front row was dotted with the usual crew—Kim Kardashian and daughter North West sat front and center to support Kanye (and yes, North was much happier to see her Papa's show this time). Plus, Kylie Jenner walked the Yeezy runway yet again with Bella Hadid right by her side. Also in the crowd was Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Michael Strahan, Riccardo Tisci, Common, Anna Wintour, Lorde, Jaden Smith and Khloé Kardashian.
As for the collection itself? Kanye's season two designs incorporated the same military-inspired ease with a largely nude and neutral palette—showcasing Yeezy's minimalist aesthetic. Really, the line is a true continuation of his first season.
The musician-turned-designer (who may or may not also be running for president?) rubbed at least a few designers the wrong way after announcing his show just two days before. At the very least, designer Anne Bowen expressed her distress about having to reschedule her inaugural runway show because of a scheduling conflict with the rapper. And we're guessing Naeem Khan is also pretty peeved, as his typically packed show is scheduled to take place in the same time slot as well.
Kanye's been popping up selectively in New York City during week, stopping by designer bestie Riccardo Tisci's Givenchy show (it's the first time the brand's departed the Parisian runways in favor of New York City, FYI) and also making a cameo at the Brother Vellies presentation. Kanye and Kim have also been spotted out and about throughout the city, giving the soon-to-be mama of two a few prime opportunities to model a few of her hubby's designs ahead of his runway presentation.
The rest of the Kardashian bunch have been making a splash in the city for NYFW festivities as well—namely Kourtney, who is continuing to flaunt her breakover style (bravo, Kourt!). Khloé has been a regular on the fashion week scene as well. But the Keeping Up with the Kardahsians star that's really taken over NYFW is—who else?—Kendall, although the newly minted supermodel has been more selective this season (she's only walked in three shows!). Hey, when you're Karl Lagerfeld's model muse, you can afford to be picky.
Last year, the front row hosted many megastars, with Beyoncé, Jay Z, Anna Wintour, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, Rihanna, Kris Jenner and Hailey Baldwin all rubbing shoulders (Kylie, meanwhile, filled in for Kendall as a model). It's worth noting that the first Yeezy x Adidas installment has yet to hit shelves, but rumor has it the Kanye-approved line will be up for grabs shortly.
All in all, not a bad show (or A-list showing), Kanye—not bad at all!
