Supernatural, we just can't quit you.

No matter how many times you make us cry, no matter how many times your break our hearts, no matter how much crap and misery you put our favorite Winchesters through, we will always come back for more.

And after seasons and seasons of Dean (Jensen Ackles) having to figure out ways to save his brother Sam's (Jared Padalecki) life, season 10 put the elder Winchester in the spotlight with his struggles with the Mark of Cain.

"Dean's rarely in this position of being the focal point of the general story's motivation," Ackles says in an exclusive interview on the Supernatural season 10 DVD. "He is usually always the one who is putting himself out there and on the line to fix somebody else's issues, somebody else's problem, something that is greater than he is. And he's obviously somebody who doesn't like to ask for help. He's not someone who is going to accept it easily either. 'Look, I'll deal with it, I'll figure it out. I can control it and I'll just control it as long as I can until...I can't. I'll suffer the consequences.'"

Press play on our exclusive video above now to see what else Ackles has to say about Dean's season 10 storyline and what it means for the show going forward.

The Supernatural season 10 DVD comes out Sept. 8, and season 11 premieres Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. on the CW.
