Remember that scene in Big Daddy when Adam Sandler just misses the McDonald's breakfast, which ends at 10:30 a.m.? That nightmare could become a thing of the past thanks to a new experiment brought to us by the fast food giant!

That's right...McDonald's is planning to test an all-day breakfast menu at some locations in San Diego, Calif., starting in April. But don't get your hopes up just yet. The menu will only be a partial menu, meaning some of your favorites might not make the cut! Although the company didn't say which sandwiches were on the list, it did reassure us that hash browns would definitely find a spot on its potential menu.

"We look forward to learning from this test, and it's premature to speculate on any outcomes," wrote spokeswoman Terri Hickey in an email to NBC News. "We're excited to serve our customers in this area some of McDonald's great-tasting breakfast sandwiches, hash browns and other favorites all day long."

In the past, McDonald's execs have cited small grill space as a reason for not supplying customers with all-day breakfast options, but ideally this test will be a success and provide us all with the dreamy option of getting our Egg McMuffins at 2 p.m. should we so choose! The decision to test the all-day menu comes as a result of increased pressure in the breakfast food arena, with Taco Bell having launched a successful morning menu.
