Fans looking forward to a third season of Looking should stop looking. HBO announced the recently concluded second season will be the last. But there's a silver lining of sorts!
HBO will give the series from Andrew Haigh a wrap up special to tie up all the storylines about a group of friends living in San Francisco.
"After two years of following Patrick and his tight-knit group of friends as they explored San Francisco in search of love and lasting relationships, HBO will present the final chapter of their journey as a special," the network said in a statement. "We look forward to sharing this adventure with the shows loyal fans."
Looking starred Jonathan Groff as Patrick, with Murray Bartlett as Dom, Frankie J. Alvarez as Agustin, Lauren Weedman as Doris, Russell Tovey as Kevin and Raúl Castillo as Richie. The show lasted for 18 episodes over two seasons.
Season two ended with Patrick moving in with Kevin only to find out Kevin wasn't quite ready to be in a monogamous relationship. Patrick took comfort in visiting his ex, Richie, and finally letting Richie cut his hair.
"Yo @LookingHBO fans - rumors are true, we don't have a new season to report, but hey, we got a movie special to shoot instead! Cool huh?? X," Tovey tweeted.
Scott Bakula, Mean Girls' Daniel Franzese and Julia Duffy recurred on the series. The show's ratings tumbled in its second season with the finale drawing under 300,000 viewers without factoring in delayed and on demand viewing.
Will you miss Looking?
