"I just want to see her and give her a hug and anything else she needs," Papa Lo told E! Online.
Lindsay's gonna stop in New York en route to Los Angeles from Italy. She spent the holidays in Capri, where she attended a film festival, swapped spit with the locals and took a highly scrutinized slug of champagne.
Michael said he will meet his daughter as she arrives at her gate on American Airlines.
"She wanted to stay in New York for a while, but her lawyer, Blair Berk, urged her to return to Los Angeles so they could figure what her next step should be.
"I don't know if it will be rehab, but whatever it is she feels she needs, that's what we'll make sure she gets," says Michael.
We'd suggest she start with a better circle of friends, but that's just us.
