From zombie bait to Bug-Eyed Bandit!

The Walking Dead's Emily Kinney is set to appear on The Flash as a major DC Comics villain, E! News has confirmed. But there's a twist!

Kinney is set to take on the role of Brie Larvan, a last name which will sound very familiar to comic book fans, as Bertram Larvan, an inventor who became the Bug-Eyed Bandit, who was actually a nemesis for the Atom and the Son of Bug-Eyed Bandit later appeared in Adventures of Superman.

But the CW hit isn't making Brie his daughter; they are reimagining the character! Brie is described as a narcissistic tech wizard wreaking havoc in Central City.

Of  course, an Atom villain popping up on The Flash shouldn't come as much of a shock as Brand Routh, who plays Ray Palmer aka the Atom, is set to cross over from Arrow, along with Emily Bett Rickards in episode 18, and will cross paths with Brie. Especially Felicity (Rickards).

When the Starling City duo arrives in Central City, Felicity immediately recognizes Brie as her nemesis, and the two women engage in a hacker battle for The Flash's life. It's a hack-off, people!

The CW hasn't been shy when it comes to their fondness for the Atom, with the network even looking into a potential third spinoff. And Routh has said he'd be interested in leading his own show, saying, "It's been nothing but an amazing experience. I'd love to keep playing this character."

Arrow recently released the first look at Routh in the Atom suit, which the Superman Returns star tweeted with the caption, "IT'S ALIVE!"

Kinney's Walking Dead character Beth Greene was killed off in particularly gory fashion in the AMC hit's season five midseason finale. Since leaving the zombie apocalypse behind, Kinney has been focusing on her music career and filmed a guest appearance on ABC's Forever.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
