Amy Adams is in the midst of a massive press tour for her upcoming Tim Burton flick, Big Eyes.

The movie has already garnered plenty of attention, including numerous award nominations, and the redheaded beauty even hosted Saturday Night Live just this past weekend in conjunction with the film's upcoming release date.

But it seems that one of the stops on her schedule came to a halt after a disagreement with what she felt comfortable with discussing on the Today show.

Multiple outlets initially reported that the award-winning star didn't want to address the Sony hack whatsoever during her interview, but the hit morning show wasn't keen on her dictating the terms of her appearance.

A source told Page Six, "Amy said she didn't want to contribute to the media coverage of it…then she was abruptly told that her interview with Today was canceled."

The insider added that "she was shocked and upset."

Today released the following statement this morning after rumors swirled about what really went down behind closed doors.

"As a news program, the Today show doesn't allow guests to put restrictions on interviews. In this case, after hours of discussion we felt uncomfortable with the demands being made and we determined the best course of action for all parties involved was to cancel the interview. "

Adams was one of the major names circulated among the many hacked Sony emails.

It was revealed in a chain between execs that she was paid less than her American Hustle co-stars like Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence.
