Jerry Seinfeld Releases "The Interview" Video—and Explains Why He'll Never Do Another TV Show

Exclusive! Comedian also gives his take on why Curb doesn't need a finale

Well, that's one way to get our attention!

Jerry Seinfeld has released a new video message introducing his latest "Dick Corcoran" video with fellow Seinfeld alum Michael Richards, and we have your exclusive first look.

"Jerry Seinfeld, Sony employee," he says in the video message. "There's been quite a bit of discussion lately about suppression of creative content..." and you can see the rest of Jerry's video message by pressing play above.

Seinfeld's new video, which serves as a bonus feature to his Crackle series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, plays off of, of course, the Sony hack that lead to the cancellation of the release of The Interview last week. And the latest Dick Corcoran video, which features Richards as the president of Crackle, shows Seinfeld and Richards doing what Seinfeldfans have always loved best—Richards going off the deep-end, while Jerry somehow miraculously holds it together. (All while one of them asks the other to impregnante his wife. No big whoop.

Today also marks the unholy holiday of Festivus in the Seinfeld world, so to celebrate, we asked Jerry a few burning questions on behalf of Seinfeld fans...Is there any chance he'll ever do a real Seinfeld reunion? Another TV show or movie? And does he agree with what Larry David said about the Seinfeld and Curb finales?

Read on for the goods...

Why did you decide to release the new Dick Corcoran video with an intro message that plays off of the Sony hack and North Korea?
To be honest with you, I love this piece so much and I just wanted to break it out from the website and Crackle and kind of float it out on its own. That's one of the fun things you can do on the internet is you can kind of take things and Frisbee them out into the atmosphere. We thought if we put a little message in front of it, maybe that will help people notice it. I just think people will laugh. And when I make something that I know will [get a] laugh I just want them to see it.

How did these Dick Corcoran videos with Michael Richards come about?
We decided to come up with a fake president for Crackle. And we thought, now who is a funny person to act deranged? And of course I thought of Michael because it reminded me of someone of those people he would impersonate on my old TV series when he would impersonate powerful people.

Is there an ease in working with him because you have such a history together?
Yeah we really are comfortable together. We know what the other person is going to do. But we're very intense. Michael is intense so it's not that much ease we really try really hard and we laugh a lot, but it's intense.

Do you ever break when you're doing these scenes together?
I do all the time. He, never. But when he puffs on that cigar, forget it, I'm under the desk.

And it's dropping [today] on Festivus, Dec. 23, which of course Seinfeld fans know all about. Intentional?
Nope, coincidental. But it is a good day for it because Mr. Corcoran is airing some grievances with me. One of my favorite things in every Dick Corcoran thing is that he starts off with gushing flattery and then at some point in the middle of the meeting, he turns on me and starts telling me how much the show is costing him and he doesn't get it.

Larry David said he felt like he doesn't feel the need to do a Curb Your Enthusiasm finale because he got so much "grief" over the Seinfeld finale, and a lot of people "intensely disliked it." Do you agree? Do think he should do a Curb finale?
I think he should do whatever he wants. I think his instincts are the best. I don't think finales are that big of a deal any more. He should go back to that series if he feels like there's more funny stuff left to do, but I wouldn't worry about a  finale.

Any talk at all of any kind of Seinfeld reunion?
I've been talking to Julia Louis-Dreyfus about doing a Comedians in Cars, which she has expressed an interest in. Jason [Alexander] and I did one, and Larry and I did one and Michael and I did one. So I'm kind of making my reunion plans that way.

Do you feel like you have another TV series or movie in you?
TV series, definitely not. And movies, you know as a stand-up comedian, you're so used to instant feedback all the time. And doing Comedians in Cars, we make the show and two weeks later, it's out in front of the public. That's a lot of fun and I'm kind of addicted to that. I don't know if  I could tolerate a two- or three-year pipeline to find out if something's funny or not. It sort of goes against my stand-up comedian chemistry, my biochemistry.

Larry is starting his Broadway debut, Fish in the Dark, very soon and you directed Long Story Short on Broadway. Did you give Larry any tips?
No I haven't seen him. I'm getting back to New York in January. I'm on holiday now and then I'll call him and maybe we'll get together and maybe I can be a part of it in some way.

I'm sure people still come up to you and yell Seinfeld lines all the time.
Yes.

Does it get old?
It will never go away. It's funny to me that, because the show is still on so much, I'm always meeting young people that are discovering it. 15 or 16 year olds. So it's so fun. I'm just a lucky guy.
