Capelet couture, anyone?
Angelina Jolie took to the red carpet today in London at Odeon Leicester Square for the U.K. premiere of Unbroken, her latest directorial feature—and we couldn't help but fixate on the star's covered shoulders! Jolie wowed in a structured white Ralph & Russo midi featuring a bow-topped capelet. The actress complemented her sleek look with a slicked updo, statement earrings and nude platform pumps.
But Angelina isn't the only star who has sported this look to make a chic statement: White capes are already quite the thing in Hollywood. At this year's Oscars, Kate Hudson wore a breathtaking beaded Atelier Versace gown featuring a bolero (a smaller cape, if you will) and plunging neckline. Gwyneth Paltrow sparked the cape trend in 2012, when she attended the Academy Awards wearing a Tom Ford gown with a dramatic, floor-length cape attached.
And we can't forget Solange Knowles, who took the cape look to a whole 'nother level at her wedding ceremony in New Orleans on Nov. 16. The main attraction was Knowles' crisp Kenzo cape gown, but the singer wore four other looks (including two caped jumpsuits by designer Stéphane Rolland).
So clean and so chic. Now where can we get one?
