Could a battle be brewing between Carrie Bradshaw and Indiana Jones?

I hear that Sex and the City: The Movie may put on their Manolo Blahniks for a trip to the Cannes Film Festival. Talk is very preliminary, but I’m told there are some ideas being bantered about to have Sarah Jessica Parker & Co. appear in some capacity at the 61st edition of the international film fest.

The festival runs May 18-25, which is a perfect fit for SATC, because our four favorite New York City gals start arriving in theaters May 28. It hits the U.S. two days later.

It was announced last month that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will hold its world premiere there on May 18 with director Steven Spielberg and stars Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and Shia LaBeouf.

SATC could easily pop up later in the festival and steal much of Indiana Jones' thunder, don't ya think? Even one of those 20-minute sneak peeks would be fab.

Can’t you just see it—Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte making their way up the legendary red carpet into the Palais?

Meanwhile, SJP had a little bit of a scare earlier today while being photographed by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue magazine, according to a source.

I’m told they were shooting in a rowboat on the East River under the Brooklyn Bridge when things got a bit rough. Parker was left dripping wet after the water rippled up and came over a side of the boat.

“Everyone was freaking out because there was equipment in the boat,” a source said. “They thought they were going to get electrocuted.”

I’m happy to report no one was hurt.
