After the shocking Scandal season three finale, the question on everyone's mind is: where on Earth is Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington)?

Everyone's go-to political fixer had enough of D.C.'s games and her own father's manipulations, so she left on a plane with Jake (Scott Foley) to "stand in the sun," away from President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and all the questionable choices Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) makes. But when season four picks up, Olivia's still missing from her former life, and all summer fans have been wondering where she disappeared to.

When Olivia agreed to stand in the sun with Jake, she really meant it, because it turns out she flew to some tropical locale to sip wine on the beach! Talk about a much-deserved vacation.

But of course, all good things must come to an end. Olivia won't stay on that sunny beach for long (because then we wouldn't have a show, duh!).

What brings her back to Capitol Hill and leading OPA once more? Will it be the news of President Fitz's son's assassination, or the revelation that her own father was behind the teen's murder? Or maybe she'll return to grieve OPA Gladiator Harrison (ex-cast member Columbus Short), who was also killed by her father? Or will it be something that pulls Jake back to D.C., and Olivia goes with him?
