If you've seen the trailer for Brad Pitt's upcoming World War II flick Fury, you know just how raw and intense the upcoming drama looks to be.
Pitt's co-star Michael Peña says filming the harsh battle scenes amid tanks and exploding bombs was just as brutal as you'd think.
"We were all insane people filming that," Peña, who plays a U.S. soldier alongside Pitt in the flick, told us exclusively at last night's HFPA Grants Banquet. "The set was crazy and chaotic. [It was] really, really cold [during filming]. Everybody was really, really dedicated. It was a great shoot. I loved it."
In Fury, Pitt plays an army sergeant in charge of a five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.
"That guy's a pro," Peña gushed of Pitt. "He's been doing it a long, long time. Not only is he a good actor but he's also got great ideas on the producing end—how to tell the story better. That guy, there's a reason that he's doing what he's doing, how he's doing it. He's got great taste. Hopefully [this movie] will be successful."
We know it will!
