Feast your peepers on the new Daredevil. Set photos from Marvel's new Netflix series give us the first glimpse of Boardwalk Empire star Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, lawyer by day, Daredevil, the man without fear, by night.
Cox headlines the new 13-episode Daredevil series that is the first of several planned shows based on characters from the Marvel comics universe. Other planned shows include series built around Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and a team-up series, The Defenders. Daredevil is the first to launch in 2015.
Joining Cox in Marvel's Daredevil is Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk (comic fans know him as The Kingpin), Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Rosario Dawson in a mystery role. True Blood's Deborah Ann Woll was the latest casting addition and joined the cast as Karen Page.
"Deborah Ann Woll is fiery, self-assured and inspires those around her—all words that perfectly describe Karen Page," Jeph Loeb, head of television at Marvel, said in a statement. "It's through Deborah Ann's nuanced portrayal that we see just why Karen is not only important to Matt Murdock, but is a central figure in the war for the soul of Hell's Kitchen."
Marvel's Daredevil hails from Steven S. DeKnight of Spartacus and Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame and Drew Goddard of Lost and Buffy notoriety. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner previously starred in the Daredevil feature film.
Look for Marvel's Daredevil is slated to hit Netflix in 2015.
