Boo! Hiss! Really?! WTF?! %*$&!

Presumably more than popcorn flew when Regal Cinema patrons in Virginia and New Jersey were shown the 2012 fantasy film Rise of the Guardians last night instead of the eagerly anticipated Marvel superhero flick Guardians of the Galaxy, starring Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldanaand the theater somehow just couldn't get it right!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dean Browell of Virginia—who was in the audience at a screening with his 10-year-old daughter—sat through three rounds of 15-minute previews as the theater staff tried many times to get the correct movie playing.

When the Dreamworks animated feature appeared on the big screen for the third time, the frustrated few that chose to persevere cursed the cartoon while others chose to walk out.

"It was now 9:15 p.m., from an 8 p.m. movie," Bromwell told THR. "Those left in the theater stormed out and then joined a line 50-people long trying to get their money back, anything. We were so disappointed."

Regal Cinemas has not weighed in on the technical glitch occurring at some theaters, but they did apologize to Browell via Twitter, offering "No excuses for what happened last night."

Meanwhile, more Guardians of the Galaxy devotees such as Carmen Livesay took to Twitter to express their "#outrage" in a series of tweets (and retweets).

At the same time, the official movie Twitter page joined in with the fans taking to social media and jokingly shared a reminder of which movie should be showing on big screens across America.
