Happy Birthday, Bindi Irwin!
The Aussie teenager celebrated her Sweet 16 on Thursday in wild style, marking the milestone occasion with a lavish jungle-themed party at the Australia Zoo!
"We have a huge day planned with a heap of fun at Australia Zoo. Kids aged 14 and under will get in for free to enjoy my birthday celebrations," she told E! News about the festivities.
The grand fete included rock climbing, African-drumming, contortionists, workshops and more! The wildlife warrior even invited guests to dress up in their favorite animal costumes! Her mom and brother—Terri Irwin and Robert Irwin—got in on the fun by dressing up as their favorite zoo creatures, as well!
"Robert and I love to spend our birthdays at our home, Australia Zoo," she continued. "It is a day to celebrate with everyone who visits, and each year the celebrations get bigger and better."
While Bindi enjoys the big events, she also loves low-key time, too. "After an amazing day at Australia Zoo, I plan to spend my birthday with my family, Chinese take-out and a good book," she said.
Sure enough, the wildlife warrior shared a pic of her special birthday meal on Instagram. "A cup of tea, my book, and takeaway Chinese food. My birthday dinner. Perfect," she captioned the shot.
She also posted a photo after she received her learner's permit and another of her family with a sentimental message for late father Steve Irwin.
"Well...it's official! I am 16 today, and so excited to begin the new chapter of my life. I am forever grateful for the love and support of my beautiful family," she wrote. "Dad—I wish you could be here today, I miss you. I love you so much. As I turn 16 today, there is a fire in my heart and I embrace the adventures yet to come. With the love of my family, together we will be able to undertake and accomplish anything."
