There was no doubt that Jessica Simpson was going to—and did—look amazing on her wedding day.
Ever since having her second child last year, the Weight Watchers spokeswoman has been working so hard to get in peak condition. And it has paid off.
But though it was reported that she limited herself to a vegan diet in the two weeks leading up to her big day, a source exclusively confirms to E! News that she never restricted herself in that way.
For instance, the source adds, the day before she and Eric Johnson tied the knot, Simpson indulged in fried chicken at a Fourth of July barbecue.
We're told that Maxwell and Ace's mommy continues to abide by Weight Watchers' focus on moderation. When it comes to exercising, the 33-year-old fashion mogul keeps it simple but consistent—cardio and strength training.
And her dedication is why, when it was time to party, digging in was no big deal.
Simpson enjoyed the short ribs and the other delicious treats that were on the menu at her wedding reception, and another source tells us that the newlywed also requested fried chicken and waffles at her postnuptial brunch on Sunday.
OK, who else is hungry?
An estimated $1.4 million, at least, was shelled out for lavish Simpson-Johnson wedding weekend at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif. That included around $300,000 (not including alcohol) on all the catering required for Thursday's rehearsal dinner, the Fourth of July BBQ, the reception dinner and Sunday brunch.
A rep for Simpson could not be reached for comment.
