After starting out as a Britney Spears-type pop singer, Jessica Simpson has developed into a country singer, comic actress and super-successful fashion designer.
Simpson became famous around the same time that Britneyand Christina Aguilera made it big on the pop music scene. The preacher's daughter, however, distinguished herself by a cultivating a more wholesome image. At one point, Simpson declared during an interview that she was saving herself until marriage.
Jessica finally got to seal the deal when she married 98 Degrees singer, Nick Lachey, in 2002. The couple later starred in their own reality show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, which, along with their marriage, ended in 2005.
After splitting with Nick, Jessica moved on to another famous singer, John Mayer. After they broke up, Mayer famously told Playboy magazine that Simpson was like "sexual napalm."
In 2007, Simpson began dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, which earned Jessica the nickname "Yoko Romo" when the QB didn't always deliver for the team's fans. The athlete decided to end the relationship on the eve of his girlfriend's 29th birthday.
In 2010, Simpson began dating Eric Johnson of the San Francisco 49ers. The two announced their engagement later that year, but put their wedding on hold when Simpson became pregnant. Jessica and Eric's first child, Maxwell Drew Johnson, was born in May 2012. Almost one year later, the happy couple welcomed baby number two. Ace Knute Johnson entered the world on June 30, 2012.
Currently, Simpson is balancing life as a full-time mom and successful businesswoman. According to Women's Wear Daily, Jessica Simpson's fashion collection—composed of shoes, sportswear, fragrances and much more—is valued at more than $1 billion. Success never looked so great!
