Some of the young ladies we'll be meeting this season? A star athlete who learns she's pregnant after a one night stand,a young mother dealing with her own mother's addictions issues, andthe popular girl who finds herself homeless after she gets pregnant, to name a few.

According to the network, the series, along with its spinoff franchise, Teen Mom, have helped to reduce teen pregnancies by 5.7 percent since its debut in June 2009.

"We are honored that these young women have shared their very personal, life changing journeys with us and our audience as they deal with the unchartered experience of becoming first time parents at such an early age," Lauren Dolgen, EVP of series development and head of West Coast unscripted programming for MTV, said in a statement announcing 16 and Pregnant's return. "16 and Pregnant has gone above and beyond our expectations in terms of its impact on the decline of teen pregnancy and teen parenthood. We are excited to continue to provide a real and unfiltered look at the joy and pain of becoming a teen parent unexpectedly."

16 and Pregnant premieres Monday, April 14, at 10 p.m. on MTV.
