Awesome guest stars assemble...again!

Following Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s game-changing episode on Tuesday night, the ABC hit is set to welcome back two major Marvel players by season's end, E! News has confirmed. Samuel L. Jackson will return as Nick Fury in the May 13 finale, as he spilled to Vulture, while How I Met Your Mother's Cobie Smulders will return as Agent Maria Hill in the Tuesday, April 29 episode. Smulders will also appear in a May episode, TVLine reports.

Both have previously appeared on the show; Jackson popped up in an after-the-credits teaser in an October episode, while Smulders popped up in the series' pilot.

After seeing Captain America: The Winter Soldier and watching S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most recent episode, which tied directly with the movie's plot, we're dying to see how Fury and Hill will factor into the storylines. Spoiler warning, turn away now if you do not want to know major plot developments from Captain America 2 or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!

After Fury faked his own death in the movie, Coulson (Clark Gregg) and May (Ming Na) are both under the impression that the former S.H.I.E.L.D. director is dead, now that the secret government organization is officially dunzo. (Hail Hydra?!) As for Hill? The end of Captain America hinted at a new job for the fan favorite agent at Stark Industries. (Hmm...maybe she can bring along a certain superhero for her guest appearances?!)

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
