The bride wore Chanel, and lost it.
In a recent interview with U.K.'s 4 Music channel, Lily Allen gave a surprising response when a fan asked which item in the singer's wardrobe is the most expensive. And the answer might not make Karl Lagerfeld very happy. Oops!
The Brit who married Sam Cooper in 2011 reveals, "Oh you do not want to know! There's two bits to this answer. One, it's not in my wardrobe—it's missing. And two, it's my Chanel Couture wedding dress that's worth about £200,000."
Gasp! That's over $330,000!
So how could such a beautiful designer gown go missing? The "Our Time" songstress confesses, "I don't know where it is." The designer frock she wore to her wedding ceremony featured billowy sheer sleeves and intricate embroidery on the bustier.
One of two looks at her wedding, the lost Chanel dress was actually her reception outfit. Lagerfeld had custom created the white dress for Allen, who was also expecting at the time of her nuptials.
UPDATE: She found it! Lily posted on her Twitter account, "OK, EVERYONE RELAX, I FOUND IT !!!!!!!!! A couple of weeks ago now." Whew. That's a relief!
