It's fitting then, that the 21-year-old leggy lady would try her hand at design and develop a covetable denim line specifically targeted to (who else?) taller gals, like her!
That's right, the Victoria's Secret Angel has recently partnered with Frame Denim, a young brand that's already attracted a long list of celebrity fans including Khloé Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, Kate Bosworth, Emma Watson and Lea Michele, to create a collection with longer inseams and flattering fits.
We caught up with Kloss to get the scoop on her cool denim endeavor.
Here's what she shared with us:
How did you get involved with Frame Denim?
I know the cofounders Erik Torstensson and Jens Grede through friends in the industry. I've always admired Frame's focus on creating beautiful tailored designs. Over dinner one day, we were chatting about my height and struggle to find jeans with the perfect fit. From our conversation, our collaboration organically developed and we began playing around with different washes, styles and proportions.
How involved were you in the design process?
This collaboration was an exciting opportunity for me to work with Frame to make the perfect staple jean for long-legged ladies like myself. I worked closely with Erik and Jens to come up with the style and think through the proportions. The Forever Karlie has a 40-inch inseam compared to the average jean, which has a 29-inch inseam. We also heightened the waistband and raised the back pocket to better complement a tall woman's figure. Through the collaboration, our goal was to create a jean for tall women to feel confident and embrace their height!
What is your favorite pair of jeans by Frame Denim?
I love the Forever Karlie High-Waisted Light Flare jeans. It was always difficult to find tall skinny jeans that fit, but near impossible to find flare jeans for my height. It's exciting to now have the Forever Karlie flares, because I can pair them with crop tops and other staples to create a classic look.
