We couldn't have a bigger girl crush on Mindy Kaling, and after seeing her mesmerizing look at this weekend's Costume Designers Guild Association awards, it's safe to say we're seriously smitten with the actress.
Kaling looked lovelier than ever in a vibrant turquoise one-shoulder gown custom made for her by Salvador Perez, the talented costume designer from The Mindy Project, who also brought the star as his date for the evening.
The striking dress proved to fit and flatter her figure, highlighting her tiny waist, while the gorgeous azure hue complemented her skin tone beautifully.
We're particularly fond of the delicate embroidery and fancy beadwork covering every inch of the design, and couldn't be more pleased with the overall vibe of the dreamy dress.
Best of all, she smartly accessorized with a light gold clutch and stacked bangles to match for an effortless touch of glamour.
"I wanted something colorful and dramatic," Perez told People of his design. "I showed her some sketches and she selected one. Before I was a costume designer, I ran costume workrooms for movies, so designing and making clothes is second nature to me."
Well done, indeed!
