It's almost time for Jimmy Fallon's big Tonight Show debut!
Hours before the talk show host is set to hit the stage, Fallon shared a special message on Instagram with fans, writing, "This is it. We are starting a new chapter of the Tonight Show.
"I can't even begin to describe what we are all feeling right now here at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, NYC. But - I know that we'll never have this exact feeling ever again," he continued.
"By this time tomorrow we'll no longer wonder what it would be like to do the Tonight Show. We can't put that feeling - that moment back in the bottle. All we can do is try to make the best show that we can and make people happy. And we will. Here's to the first of many. Fun."
Although the funnyman put on a brave face, he admitted to Ryan Seacrest this morning that the thought of his premiere night kind of has him on edge.
"I'm freaking out right now," the talk show host said when he called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. "It's so exciting. It's crazy...This is the dream job."
A dream job Johnny Carson held for 30 years and Jay Leno for over 22—so is Fallon up to sticking around for a lengthy stint if it all works out?
"Of course I'd loved to do it as long as people enjoy it. But I don't see myself writing ‘Thank-You Notes' when I'm 80 years old," he joked.
Fallon recently revealed a few of the guests scheduled to hit the show during his debut week, which will include Will Smith, U2, Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, Michelle Obama, Will Ferrell and Justin Timberlake, just to name a few.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon launches at midnight tonight on NBC.
