The 57-year-old Oscar-winning actor has been named the Most Trustworthy Celebrity in a recent study done by the magazine. Carol Burnett landed No. 2 on mag's list with Morgan Freeman coming in third. Rounding out the top five is Michael J. Fox in fourth and Betty White in fifth.
To create the most trustworthy list, Forbes used E-Poll Market Research which ranks more than 6,600 celebrities on 46 different personality attributes.
The stars are then ranked by a combination of their trustworthy and appeal scores.
In May 2013, Hanks also topped the Reader's Digest Trust Poll. Sandra Bullock came in second, Denzel Washington in third, Meryl Streep in fourth and Maya Angelou in fifth.
