    Kim Kardashian Lost 43 of the 50 Pounds She Gained While Pregnant: How She Did It!

    Kim Kardashian is having a banner year. The reality star's divorce from Kris Humphries was finalized on June 4 after a year and half court battle. Eleven days later, she gave birth to daughter North West (albeit five weeks early). And, oh yeah, Kanye West proposed to her in grand fashion on Oct. 21.

    Even still, the 33-year-old has been through her share of struggles within the past 10 months. "Pregnancy for me was a lot tougher than people saw on my show or from magazines," Kardashian tells People magazine in its latest issue, on stands Friday. "So to get back to feeling like myself just makes me feel good again."

    Kardashian was hurt by the internet memes that mocked her baby bump and maternity style. "Every day I would hear people criticize me, and it would affect me," the 5-foot-3 star admits. "Little by little, it would chip away at my soul. I wanted to tune out the media and my public life and ignore it all."

    The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star says she's lost 43 of the 50 pounds that she gained while pregnant. And although she's been spotted working out at Barry's Bootcamp and Pilates Plus, she credits her post-baby weight loss to the Atkins Diet.

    "This was the biggest challenge of my life, and I still have some to go," says the engaged fashion designer, who eats about 2,000 calories a day on the meal plan. "But I feel so accomplished that I did this."
