The epic tale of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, the notorious couple whose crime spree captured the nation's interest in the '30s, comes to TV with The History Channel, Lifetime and A&E's joint miniseries Bonnie & Clyde, starring Into the Wild's Emile Hirsch and The Borgias' Holliday Grainger as the titular duo. Romance and violence seems to be the name of the game for Bonnie & Clyde, judging from the glossy one-minute promo featuring Hirsch and Grainger as the depression-era outlaw couple whose criminal exploits have assured them lasting fame for eight decades. Guns, car crashes, robberies, it's all there! The miniseries will follow the couple and the Barrow gang in the three years they spent committing robberies, bank heists and murders before their deaths in 1934.
Hurt takes on the role of Frank Hammer, a Texas Ranger who tracked the infamous duo in the '30s and Hunter plays Bonnie's mother. Also starring in the flick are Prison Break's Lane Garrison as Clyde's brother, Modern Family's Sarah Hyland as Clyde's sister-in-law, Twilight's Elizabeth Reaser as a writer tracking the case and Dale Dickey as Clyde's mother.
Bonne & Clyde airs Sunday, Dec. 8 and Monday, Dec. 9 on A&E, Lifetime and History at 9 p.m. both nights.
