Pump up the volume!
Sandra Bullock shows off a head-turning, super-volumized short 'do on the October cover of Vogue.
With her back facing the camera, the brunette beauty gives us a great view of her cropped cut, which has been styled in a towering bouffant for her fifth cover of the iconic fashion magazine.
Loose, face-framing bangs sweep across her forehead, while a few errant tendrils sit at the nape of her neck—prompting some to compare the hairstyle to...a mullet.
But regardless of how you feel about Bullock's short strands, there's no doubt the 49-year-old looks stunning.
And her hair, which she chopped for her upcoming film Gravity isn't the only thing defying-gravity in the magazine shoot!
Suspended from cables, Bullock strikes a pose mid-air in a stunning silver Donna Atelier gown for the Peter Lindberg-lensed shoot.
It's a shot that nods at the wire work the film star had to do for her latest film to simulate an astronaut floating through space.
And while she admits the film was a "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity, and she even got over her fear of flying to take on the film, she admits her family—and more specifically her son Louis—take priority over her career.
"If I see whatever I'm doing affecting him negatively, I will pack up and move to Alaska," she said.
As if that wasn't proof enough of her love of motherhood, Bullock openly admits she would gladly welcome more little ones into her life.
"If all of a sudden someone said, ‘You have five more kids,' I'd be totally OK with it," she revealed. "I'm having such an amazing time. Whatever comes our way, we handle as a family. It's not just me anymore."
The October issue of Vogue hits newsstands on Sept. 24.
